Our Vision
We will create community NFL clinics of excellence which will provide the best practices in urologic care, a patient-focused experience, and state-of-the art technology and medicine to make Metro Urology the leader of urologic specialty medicine and care.
Our History
Metro Urology was established through the merger of St. Paul Urology, PA and St. Paul Urologic Surgeons, PA in January 1994. At the time of the merger both practices had been incorporated for over 20 years, and each brought with them the vision and values that are the foundation of Metro Urology’s success.
Initially, Metro Urology had three sites in St. Paul, Maplewood, and the Central Medical Office in the Midway area, which is now located in the Court International Building in St. Paul. In 1998, Metro Urology added additional offices in Fridley and Lake Elmo, and in 1999 grew larger with our merger with Associated Specialists in Urology, PA, incorporating our fifth office as well as additional talented physicians with the same goals and values that make our organization so successful.
In our continued dedication for progress, we opened our sixth office in Plymouth in 2000 taking over the Regions Hospital Urology Clinic and combining it with the St. Paul offices in 2002. We also have continued to grow adding our own Medical Center to our list of clinics in Woodbury. Cornerstone Medical Center housing Metro Urology and other medical groups opened in the fall of 2007.
Focused on innovative and compassionate patient-centered care, Metro Urology continues to offer a broad range of services for adults and children including treatment for prostate cancer, kidney stones and stone management, impotence, infertility, and incontinence. We have over 100 support staff members, and over 20 physicians who work to serve our patients. We are active participants in clinical research with pharmaceutical and medical device companies, principally in the areas of incontinence and prostate cancer. We continue to consider joint ventures, partnerships and other business opportunities in order to maintain and increase our successes.
